Installation Acceptance Speech

I stand before my ESA friends and family humble and proud to become your president for 2024-2025.

ESA is an organization with a rich history of service, education, and friendship. As we know, our organization is struggling with membership as many other volunteer groups are also struggling. I would ask each of you to reach out to younger people in your community and see if they would like to join you in a volunteer opportunity. Be flexible and remain open to new ideas and ways of achieving our primary ESA goal “To Be of Service” and invite others to join in, even if for only one event.

This year one of my goals will be to work on communication and clarity of protocols. We will be updating guidelines and are planning on revamping our communications this year. We’d like to update the Facebook page, make some changes in how information is distributed and work on utilizing our Website as “the place” to find ESA Colorado Information because it has all of it there. Please share any ideas you may have and help us connect with each other.

My theme this year is “Who Gives a Hoot? ESA, that’s whooo!”

Please join me in a year of fun and achievement as we continue to write our ESA story. I know each of you gives a hoot about ESA and will help us continue our legacy of love, friendship and giving --- because it’s what we all do.
